Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is a Belarussian born in Minsk. Their father Sergey (d. in 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was founded in Minsk Belarus, on 5 May 1998. Aryna is the holder of twelve WTA Singles titles. One of which was crowned "Grand Slam" at the Australian Open 2023. Additionally, she's a fantastic doubles player. She's won two Majors to her name in this category, the US Open 2019 and the Australian Open 2021 won both together with Elise Mertens. The year she was born, she won her both her first WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian Partner, who completed what is known as the Sunshine Double. This feat was only achieved by four couples participating in women's doubles. The Belarusian rose from second place to third on the world singles ranking on the 23rd of August in 2021. Her highest rank was achieved again in January 2023. After winning the Melbourne doubles championship in February of 2021, she was able rise up the rankings to take the first spot for this particular area. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach throughout 2018, up until the season was over in the year 2019, and for a shorter duration at the beginning of 2020. There was a brief collaboration with Dieter Kindlmann between August and September 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman is coaching her in the years since 2020. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are her idols.
